Whenwe have a new neighbor, we will think of what kind of person he is and hisfamily are. We hope that he is a good one. For me, I like people who aretalkative and we can have a nice talk. When we come across, we can greet eachother with a smile. I also like people who like to smile; he is not a seriousperson. A good neighbor is helpful and generous.

Akind-hearted lady once lived near me. I didn't know her very well. One day Ifound she was a good person. On that day I returned home and realized that Ileft my keys in my house and locked myself out. I could not get in touch withmy mother. It was getting dark and I had nowhere to go but I only could stayaround my house and wait for my mother. The lady who lived next to me saw thatI stay around by myself and let me get into her house, she warmly serviced mesome tea and cookies. We had a good conversation. Thanks for her help, I wouldnot stand out to wait for an hour and to suffer the cold.

Besides,there are two important qualities making for a good neighbor: tolerance andrespect for each other’s privacy. If a neighbor have a baby who cries a longtime at midnight, or if he starts playing a music instrument, these situationsmean some tolerance is required. Meanwhile I like talkative people, but Idislike those who like gossiping.
